Surrounded by majestic mountains and nestled on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown is New Zealand's premier four season lake and alpine resort.
Queenstown winter is heralded by the arrival of snow-capped slopes, a tangible buzz in the town centre and a packed events calendar. It's time to hit the mountain and enjoy the variety of snowboarding and skiing, not to mention fun in the tubing park, snowshoeing, snow mobiling and heli-ski options.
Millennium Hotel Queenstown is located on Frankton Road, the main road into Queenstown. Just 6 kms from the airport and only minutes away from the Queenstown central shopping, entertainment and outdoor activities such as bungee jumping, white water rafting and jet boating. Coronet Peak ski area is only 20 minutes away, Remarkables ski area is 25 kms away and Cardrona ski field is 65 km to the north.
Queenstown International Airport is well served by major airlines. Air New Zealand and QANTAS Airways make international and domestic flights into Queenstown. Low cost carrier Pacific Blue is now servicing the trans-Tasman Sydney route twice a week. There are daily direct domestic connections from New Zealand's main centres: Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Queenstown Airport is located 10 kilometres from the town centre.
