Since 2004, SPANZA has sponsored an anaesthetist with a strong interest in paediatric anaesthesia from a lesser developed country to attend the annual scientific SPANZA meeting. The sponsorship provides for airfares, accommodation and registration.
To date, SPANZA has sponsored anaesthetists from Uganda, Mongolia, Thailand, Bhutan, Fiji and the Solomon Islands.

The SPANZA Annual Scientific Meeting is a major ME Meeting under the ANZCA MOPS Program. Participants can claim 3 CME points per house under code 111. The approval number for this meeting is xxx.
For surgical delegates, formal recognition of CPD accreditation from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for this meeting is pending. We expect this will recognise 1 point per hour in Category 4: Maintenance of Clinical Knowledge and Skills. Formal recognition for CPD requires a participant evaluation form.
The registration desk will be located in the Pavilion and will be open the following times:
